My recent business trip to China

For over two decades, I have cultivated a unique and mutually beneficial business relationship with China, built on trust, collaboration, and shared goals. My deep engagement with Chinese partners spans a wide range of industries, particularly in the fields of power, communications, and infrastructure development, where Tratos’ high-quality cable products play a critical role.

My relationship with China is not merely transactional but grounded in a spirit of friendship and mutual respect. Over the years, I have worked closely with his Chinese counterparts to foster innovation and sustainability in line with global standards, further strengthening Tratos’ position in the international market.

On September 24th, 2024, during my most recent business trip to China, I visited  CEECATL where Mr Fred Huang, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of CEECATL warmly received me. The meeting marked a significant step towards closer collaboration between the two companies, focusing on the development and expansion of energy storage solutions in Europe.

During the meeting, we held in-depth discussions on the future of energy storage, highlighting the strategic importance of advancing sustainable energy solutions to meet Europe’s evolving energy demands. Both parties expressed a shared vision and enthusiasm for forging deeper partnerships, ultimately reaching a consensus on pursuing in-depth cooperation in the near future.

Mr. Fred Huang provided an overview of CEECATL’s core businesses and strategic focus. As a leading innovator in new energy and integrated smart energy, CEECATL specializes in zero-carbon solutions, energy storage systems, and green hydrogen-ammonia technologies. With a strong commitment to sustainability, the company is positioning itself as a global leader in the green and zero-carbon sector. CEECATL is actively expanding its energy storage business internationally, and Mr. Huang expressed the company’s interest in deepening cooperation with Tratos, particularly in new energy fields.

In turn, I shared insights into Tratos’ ongoing projects in Europe’s energy infrastructure, emphasizing the growing need for advanced energy storage systems to support power grid reliability and meet peak energy demands. Additionally, I highlighted Tratos’ expertise in supplying high-performance electrical and fibre optic cables and expressed a strong interest in identifying potential areas of collaboration with CEECATL.

Both our companies acknowledged the complementary strengths they bring to the table. CEECATL’s expertise in smart energy systems and green hydrogen technology, combined with Tratos’ extensive experience in power infrastructure and cable manufacturing, paves the way for a mutually beneficial partnership. The meeting concluded with a commitment to further explore a win-win cooperation model, leveraging each other’s capabilities to drive innovation in energy storage and green energy solutions.
