Italian-born British entrepreneur, author, Hon Consul for San Marino and Freeman of the City of London, Dr Maurizio Bragagni, has been appointed Hon Senior Visiting Fellow at Cass Business School, London.
Dr Bragagni, who has a doctorate in law from the University of Pisa in Italy, studied for his master’s in business administration at the London Business School, graduating in 2016. He fitted his academic work around leading his cable technology innovation company, Tratos UK in Knowsley, Merseyside, and joins the University’s Faculty of Management.
The business school’s honorary visiting appointments are offered to exceptional individuals who can demonstrably add value to the School’s brand in an academic, research and/or professional capacity.
CEO of one of the most successful global independent British cable manufacturers, Dr Bragagni has been working closely with the Rt Hon Liz Truss and the Department for International Trade as an independent advisor, assisting the Government as it works to deliver trade deals worldwide.
His lectures will focus on the contribution, constitution, and successes of family businesses. His latest book which explores the history, strengths and future of family businesses is published later this year.
Dr Bragagni also has an honorary doctorate from the University of Bolton. An innovation and continuous professional development champion, his company won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation in 2019.
The charity he founded Esharelife.org continues to provide education and vocational skills training for some of the most disadvantaged children and young people in Kenya’s worst slums.
He divides his time between the Knowsley factory and his business headquarters and offices of the Consul of San Marino in London.
